So we have this little game... a stringing/beading type little thing, all wooden and decorated with little farm animals. It's great. Except for one thing. The strings it came with for threading were weaker than shoelaces and had no real ends. String big wooden beads on them was difficult even for me, a reasonably smart 30 year old woman. It was pretty much impossible for an almost 3 year old. So I threw them out (it felt good!) and replaced them with pipe cleaners. AHA! It was definitely a moment where I felt like a genius, even though it was really no big deal. :)
BUT, the pipe cleaners were a messy mess. See below.
UNTIL. Until I saved a paper towel tube from the recycling bin! What?! Two aha moments from one cute little toy?! Unreal, I know. Look at how much of a difference it makes!
So great. Now we have a neat little drawer, and stringing beads that are actually able to be strung! Win.
